This is one Museum you have to see. It's not like you're typical Smithsonian type Museum. It's got so much history in it. In the gentleman who runs it is a wonderful guy to the history. You also need to ride Lincoln's death train. It's not morbid has sound. Actually very enlightened. This is a must-see if you got to Gettysburg.

Owner seemed nice enough, but was barefoot. NONE of the train displays were running. There was a small Christmas train layout that we turned on ourselves, but when everyone boarded the train "ride", the owner had turned it off again. The videos they show you give almost no history of Lincoln nor Gettysburg. They are mostly about how great America is.

I visited the train museum about a year ago and had a pleasant experience then. The guide was knowledgeable and very informative. This time however, I walked in with my 13yo son and I was told that I needed to purchase tickets. I informed that I was only looking around the gift shop and was told I still need to buy tickets. The person also was barefoot and not very professional. This is the first time I've ever been told I need to buy tickets to look around a store. This visit left a bad experience with me and my son and I doubt we'll ever revisit in the future.

Very nice museum with a variety of history on display. Even if you're not a railroad or train fan, you need to make this stop in Gettysburg. The new owner was very kind and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed the museum as well as riding the train with Lincoln.

You have to stop here. Lots of cool stuff. The best is the short movie you see on the "train ride". I wish everyone could see this movie about our country!
