Very happy with A&P. Was looking for bushes and a tree for my yard and I picked a great place to try out. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Got all my bushes and a tree for half of what Moon Valley wanted for the tree alone. I have found my go to nursery. Thanks A&P!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE -- I Purchased 2 vines at A & P Nursery in Gilbert, AZ on Baseline. Both plants had some browning leaves and one plant had a clear manganese deficiency and the leaves looked dual colored. I asked the cashier, Garrett, if they would consider giving me a discount because the vines were not in the best condition. Garrett said, \Absolutely not.\ I had him look at the condition of the plants and asked again because I am not sure I can save them in this condition. I asked Garrett for his name. He said, \Why do you want my name?\ I said, \Because you helped me.\ He rang me up then rudely said, \I didn't help you in any way!\ He had a negative attitude and way of speaking which was not professional. I asked if they guaranteed the plants since these vines weren't in the best shape. He said no, but if they have trouble A & P would sell the chemicals to me to fix it. At that point I was reconsidering the purchase. This is absolutely not good service. Then Steve, another sales associate, helped cut down the vine supports so it would fit in my car. He carried the vines out and put them in the car and tried to pull off some of the leaves. He was polite, kind, and helpful. Definitely much better than my experience with Garrett. Steve tried his best and was not rude. My decision was to purchase the plants and try to save them, but I was disappointed in the shopping experience at A & P. While I appreciated Steve's efforts, I would not recommend this garden center because of the cashier's negative attitude and lack of professionalism, and will not return. Overall, a strong customer service disappointment.
I needed to buy some bushes for my home. Not knowing what I was looking for, I knew I would need help. I went to Home Depot...no help...I went to Lowe's...no help. Then I remembered A&P Nursery. What a find. As soon as I walked through the door, I was asked if I needed help. The young man that assisted me was sweet, kind, and knowledgeable. I was in and out within 15 minutes. He took the plants to the register and then proceeded to place protection in my car and loaded up the car for me...I highly recommend A&P Nursery.
Always a great place for plants,trees, and and landscape supplies. Very helpful and knowledgable staff. I would highly suggest this nursery!!
Great amount of plants packed into this small-ish square lot. Employee attitude is hit-or-miss.. Busier times (weekends especially) seem to decline the quality of customer service you'll receive. Stick to the slower times, however, and the staff is typically very friendly and helpful. Again, just avoid the \busy times\.. I literally overheard an employee complaining about a customer asking a question: \Don't they know weekends are NOT the time to be asking questions!?\... No, customers expect to be taken care of regardless of business. Despite the issues with customer service, I still frequent the location as their selection is one of the best in the east valley.
