I wanted to love this place and at first, I really did. Midwives Ramona and Karen are absolutely amazing but the management of this place is lacking especially these days. Not all patients have the ability to find child care or to attend their appointments without their children but this place just doesn’t care. They’ll offer virtual appointments but that does no good when you are 27 weeks pregnant and have physical issues that need checked out. They’ll claim it’s CDC guidelines because of Covid but I struggle to understand how going to an ultrasound vs a 15 minute check up is any different so I’m sad to say Ill be looking for an alternate provider, hopefully one that has a more understanding staff. It truly is a trying time to be pregnant and this just makes it so much harder.

Apparently having a 2 year old with you is a bigger concern than going through a miscarriage. I made a last minute appointment because I finally got a positive pregnancy after a 2 years and a miscarriage only to start bleeding. Got turned away because I couldn’t find a babysitter last minute. They supposedly sent a text informing me I couldn’t bring my child but I never received it. I had a normal checkup in December and had to bring my little one then as well but they said nothing about it then so I had no idea the policy changed. The care I received for my first pregnancy/delivery also left much to be desired.

I'm thankful to Dr. Guzman. He's such a caring doctor. When I was there for a routine check up, that ended up turning into something scary. He was calm, but still showed caring and the urgency I needed to go to the hospital. He told me even which hospital to go to, so I wouldn't be separated from my baby and which place would be the best place for my baby to survive. He said he was hoping he was wrong and over reacting, but said to go to that hospital now. Again I'm so thankful to him for the information he provided, my son is 7 weeks old now and strong at the hospital he said I needed to go to. Still have a long road, but thankfully it was possible because he's in the right place.
