Lots of space for the kids to run around. Lots of people there for a Wednesday afternoon, but plenty room to enjoy the park safely. Some wear masks, some don't, but were at a safe distance. There're structures for kids to climb and run around, also sand pits with artificial fossils for the kids to make believe digging up. The main entrance parking lot is small though, but I heard there's parking space at the library nearby. There's a floating boardwalk type of thing where you can feed and watch the ducks and other wild birds. Restrooms and covered picnic area with 4 picnic tables are located on site. Loved that there was tidy (no random trash) and there were 3 big covered trash bins, one of which was recycle. I see you Gilbert, right on.

My wife and I went here a few weeks ago. Beautiful place to get away without having to travel very far. So serene to watch the ducks, and variations of wildlife. Great place if you need to unplug. Highly recommend.

Such an amazing place! Lot’s of paved walking paths and areas off path too. The areas go all around the lake and it’s so beautiful! There is a lot of wildlife that I saw today in the way of birds, bunnies, rabbits, and squirrels. Quite a few bees, dragonflies and butterflies too! I can imagine in the Springtime the plants are gorgeous! It was still really pretty today even with many plants dried out. There are many varieties of trees that are so beautiful this time of year. This place is a real treasure. It’s a great place for picnics on the lawn or in the covered areas. There are playground areas for the kiddos. I’ve been told the fishing is good here too. The Rotary Observatory is going to be visited on my next visit!

This was my first visit: Parking was full with cars waiting when I arrived. I ended up parking by the library. There weren’t any signs that said not to and there was a sidewalk leading to the preserve from the parking lot. Gorgeous area! Lots of birds, rabbits, trees and plants. Plenty of maps on the trails to guide you. I was there for an hour and a half and didn’t even walk the whole area. It’s huge! Even though there is a small sign that says masks are required, very few people were wearing masks. About 1 person out of every 12-15 people had a mask on. It was pretty busy when I went on a Sunday evening. I did my best to distance myself from others, while wearing my mask the entire time. Unfortunately I will probably not be returning for a while, due to the lack of masks/enforcement and the large crowds. Can’t wait to safely visit again!

A wonderful place to spend the day, or even 20 minutes if that's all you have. Truly a birding hotspot for a nature lover like me. Today I enjoyed over 30 species of birds and wildlife, taking pictures and riding my trike around several ponds and habitats. Will definitely be back… Many times!
