I recently bought a \windsor\ railing section at my local Lowes and put up a railing for my front steps. The first railing section I bought popped a weld on a spindle as soon as it was bent (slanted). Lowes allowed a return, even though it had already been cut to length. The railing is up, it looks OK, it seems OK support-wise with only a single Newel post support. In my opinion though, it is too difficult to tighten the railing to the posts with the supplied fitting sets (lock washers would help). They also prescribe a hole (bit) that ends up being too big for their masonry anchors. I do not intend to buy any more from Gilpin (I'd oringally planned to mirror the railing on the other side of the steps) I just added a star to my review as the company owner just replied to my review, and that's something!
Ordered some alumnium railings through a big box store... Product was well made, packed and shipped well and on time. Thanks Gilpin for making my deck look so nice!
Unreliable, I ordered an item on 6-13-19, I was told, it will be shipped by 6-27-19. today is 7-24-19 I am still waiting for it. If you try to order these products from Menards they offer you in two weeks, that is not true.
