This place excellent. Well worth the 3 plus hour drive. I had the buffet which had fried chicken, ham, pork roast plus great side dishes like beef with noodles and mashed potatoes. The spice cake for desert was also great.

A great restaurant with a very good buffet in Jamesport Mo. Tremendous service.. We go everytime we visit Jamesport.
We are on a cross country road trip and stopped to have lunch. What a lovely experience!!! The people are kind and attentive, but all I can say is...oh the chicken!!! My usually picky kids are 2nd and 3rd helpings of fried chicken from the lunch buffet. Don’t leave without a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie. My husband said he would travel 10 hours to come back!
Visiting from Texas with some local friends. The bread for all of the sandwiches is freshly made on sure and is delicious. I had the Ruben and the pastrami was delicious and the sauerkraut had a nice bite. Prices are more than fair. Service is outstanding.
Located on the corner of the street in the heart of the quiet town of Jamesport, this family owned and run restaurant did not disappoint. We went because we wanted to try something authentic in this small Amish and Mennonite town. The service was prompt and the restaurant was uncrowded. The restaurant was clean, as were the bathrooms. There was a buffet available, but our group opted for sandwiches. I opted for the Amish dinner (available all day), even though I don't usually eat meat. I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm not complaining about the food, but it felt salty to me. I don't usually eat much salt as well as not eating much meat, so I can't really say if this is out of the norm or not. The green beans were surprisingly slightly sweet. I didn't expect that. The Amish slaw was interesting (cabbage and celery and green bell peppers in some kind of sauce). The waitress refilled my water often, which was very helpful on this hot summer day. (They also had a/c.) We ordered pie slices at the conclusion of our meal, and they were delicious. We recommend the strawberry rhubarb. There is a bakery next door which sells breads, jams, precooked meals (I think they were frozen or refrigerated), pies, and cinnamon rolls.
