Everyone Gets the Hookup (Seriously, everyone is treated like family)! 1. I had a disaster day with my bike on the very last day the resort was open ... Powder Hound techs got to my bike in a timely fashion and had it fixed so that I could enjoy the last minutes of the downhill season. 2. I bought used boots that were making skiing miserable (think, bleeding ankles), Powder Hound techs had me in custom Intuition liners with proper insoles in under an hour and I was back on the hill in no time. 3. My skis were stolen from my car, Powder Hound techs helped me choose new skis, new bindings, and got me back on the hill in record time. My friends were asking me who I knew to get set up so quickly ... No one, but Powder Hound has A M A Z I N G customer service. POWDER HOUND is the real deal! They embrace old school customer service and have amazing products. They have a cute shop, and attentive, smart techs ... do not shy away from coming in here. They will treat you right and you will be happy. And you will get to spend more time doing the activities that you love.

What a fantastic shop for four season outdoor enthusiasts! Conveniently located close to the Alyeska Day Lodge the shop boasts a large inventory of the most trusted outdoor sports brands. The also offer cycle rental and a maintenance shop as well. They swap their rentals out each season to keep up on the cutting-edge. This gives locals a great chance to save 20%-40% on top quality bikes each year. Their waitlists open in the summer and they begin selling right after Spring Break in March. Eric, the owner, and Amy helped me purchase my first fat tire bike this past week and they were both amazing to work with...extremely knowledgeable. I got just what I wanted for an incredible price! I’ll be headed back when ski season begins.

The customer service is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The shop was efficient with getting people help on a busy weekend powder day morning. Paige helped me navigate through some demo sessions to pick out a new resort ski set up! She was sooo helpful. Highly recommended to anyone needing some guidance!

Eric and crew take good care of you. After a botched boot punch from another ski shop, Eric got things back into shape and saved my day of skiing. Use these guys if you can make the drive.

Everything we hoped for in a local bike shop - and more. (I'm sure they are just as good on the ski/board side.) Eric and Colin fitted us with awesome rental mountain bikes, took the time to inquire what kind of adventure we were seeking, gave us primo trail tips for biking, as well as trail running and hiking. Even better, we ran into Colin biking up to take a few downhill runs and he showed us the ropes - what a treat for us. Final bonus: I finally found a pair of mountain bike shorts in their shop that fit me and are loaded with style, after searching for months. :-) We can't wait to return to Alaska. Girdwood and Powder Hound will be first stops!
