Went within the first week of November 2020, about 2 weeks after our major October winter storm. Was a decently mild and cloudy day (40 F). Easy ascent with beautiful views switchbacking up the face of the mountain, until you begin to near 6k altitude, then it became knee-deep in wet snow. Soaked my boots and socks to the core. Made the only set of tracks on the trail going further up to Turquoise lake, so I guess nobody had walked this stretch since almost a month back. Done this hike multiple times in the summer. This place never gets old! One of the best easy hikes in the area that gains altitude instead of staying low in the valley. Just don’t go in middle of dead winter unless you wanna get stranded.

Late August hike to Glacier Lake. Other lakes just a bit further, yielding superb views. Don't expect the place to yourself. Parking lot was full with others parked along the road. Easy hike to Glacier, but steeper to other lakes. No mosquitoes for us! No smoke either... excellent all around. Oh, bring your fishing license as the warden knows it's popular!
Great hike. Took my dog and she loved it. Plenty of water to splash around in and squrills/chipmunks to chase.
This is a great jumping off point for glacier lake, crescent lake and turquoise lake (a strenuous hike uphill - 6 miles!) and a good spot for backcountry camping. There's parking probably large enough for 20 cars, and even a little out house.
Great quick hike to Glacier Lake. Went up for sunrise and managed to beat the mosquitoes, but paid the price in spider webs. Mosquitoes were swarming at the lake, but the scenery was worth it. Higher elevation huckleberries are still green, but mid-trail were ripe! The road up to the trailhead is well defined and can be taken even in compact cars. Only a few spots of washboard before it starts climbing.
