I was visiting family and had a vision emergency. Was fortunate to find Dr Elman’s practice. The staff are kind, friendly, and confident. They make you feel at ease. Dr Elman is warm, compassionate and expert. He thoroughly examined my eyes, explained the diagnosis and provided concrete next steps. He made sure that I understood my condition and treatment and provided clear information about next steps. I highly recommend Dr Elman and his practice.

Scary experience. Suddenly lost vision in one eye. I called my PCP. Was told it would be 8 days before I could get an appt. Went to ER. 6 hour ordeal. Was told vision loss was permanent (although they confessed they were not eye experts).got sent across town to an ER that had an expert. 5 more hours and they still hadn't called my name. Went home dejected. Google search led me to Elman Group. 24 hour on-call. My wife called and set an appointment for right away. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, compassionate, and confident. They run tests. Take pics. Dr. Schechet enters room. First thing he says is, \Don't worry. I can fix it\. And, he means it. Anxiety floats away. He lays out 4 options. Tells me to choose. I ask for direction. He gives it. I say, \OK. Let's set it up.\ He says, \Nah. Let's do it right now.\ A half hour later and I'm back on the street. Vision already beginning to slightly restore. I have 2 more appointments over the next 2 days (read that as \immediate treatments\) and some healing. But, I'm thanking those lucky stars I found this place.

Dr Elman's staff was wonderful. I needed to be seen same day and they were able to accommodate my needs. Dr Elman explained the changes in my vision in a way that was understandable. He even showed me a video which helped as well.

I did not have to wait long at all for an appointment and all of my concerns were thoroughly addressed. The staff appear to be very well trained and the doctor was very knowledgeable and courteous.
