I hate to see all of these bad reviews. I LOVE EMPIRE ! I was skeptical as I’ve never been to a school for hair services before. I just moved here and had the best experience in the salon with educators, Ms. Lex and Ms. Spencer. The students were all friendly and welcoming. The Director was even making his presence known, speaking hellos and good Mornings to the students. Just a great atmosphere honestly. My hair turned out FABULOUS! And at a GREAT PRICE you definitely will not get at a real full service salon. I will definitely recommend to my close by friends and family. Thank you Empire !

I am currently a student at empire beauty school glen burnie. I never knew i would learn about anatomy and physiology in order to be a Cosmetologist. Not realizing cosmetology is the study of beauty. I just finished my 3rd week of nail care. I love it especially with the educators that are present here. They do an excellent job at making sure we succeed as professionals.! We help promote a nail fashion show that was amazingly fun! I really enjoy being here and learning new things!

I want to give a super realistic review of my experience at empire. I started in oct of 2019 and was excited. The kits can be a bit pricey but the products are slightly cheap (some) . As far as the teachers I love them. Im only speaking for the teachers I actually had . The teachers I had cared and loved to teach as well as learn from the students seeing as the beauty industry changes constantly. If you’ve come to cosmetology school expecting to learn it all don’t. When you come its to learn the basics. Im finally graduating in 2021 due to covid but this journey is nonetheless one I will never forget. I gave a 3 star only because lots of experiences was taken away due to the virus . Demos, physical graduation, things of that nature. Other than that I feel if you take this industry seriously feel free to come and register. I personally enjoyed my experience because I understood the purpose of me taking this journey.

This is an updated review 2020 I have been going to this Beauty school for several years and prior to today every time was pleasant. I made an appointment for today 12/21/20 at 1030 am. I arrived at 10.32 am and was told that I would have to reschedule because my appointment was at 1015am. I advised the staff that was incorrect because I always schedule for 1030 am and today was not any different. So I stated that maybe the receptionist wrote it down incorrectly however my appointment time is always the same. I was told on a previous occasion by an Empire staff that the students go on break and return at 1030 am so that's why I always make the appointment for that time. I was advised to reschedule and I decided that I would never return to this beauty school. The receptionist did not even try to look to see if a mistake had been made. Poor customer service As I walked away one of the teachers asked if I would like to reschedule my appointment and I declined.

You get what you expect. I expected to receive a fantastic hairstyle at bargain basement prices. It's a shame only people who've had negative experiences rated this school. The students do wonderful work, for the most part. And 9 for a wash and set is a steal!
