On August 4, 2020, hurricane Isaias blessed Southern Maryland with 7.3 inches of rain in one hour ! Our home was flooded ! 6 car garage, laundry room, and furnace room. Once we cleaned up, I thoroughly investigated gutter guard companies. I called LeafFilter. The salesman, Marc, gave us a price, then his crew installed the filters the following day. Great service. Four days later was the real test when a storm left 4 inches in one hour. HURRAH ! At age 79 I not longer climb up two stories to clean the gutters. My wife of 58 years is very happy. We had LeafFilter installed about a month ago and have been impressed so far. We previously were using gutter guards similar to the Gutter Helmet design. We are surrounded by trees so during the fall, they were constantly getting clogged with leaves. Whenever it rained, the gutters were overflowing and we had problems with water getting behind the siding. Ever since we had LeafFilter installed, we no longer have water running over the gutters or down the sides of the house. I will say it is a bit expensive but we figured the cost was worth it as the water damage from a failed gutter system would be more expensive to fix. Definitely recommend having this system installed if your budget allows.
