Had a lovely dinner on a Saturday. It starts to get really busy around 4:30, catching the early crowd and beach goers. Highly recommend to make reservation. Or your gonna wait a hell of a long time.

Sunset has an impeccable reputation from what I understand. Unfortunately , this evening they did not stand up to that reputation. I ordered 2 lasagna dinners and garlic bread for carry out. The lasagna comes with a side salad and the garlic bread was extra. The service was exceptional. Charming, courteous and friendly. The food on the other hand was highly disappointing . The salads were good but I probably should've asked her to package them separate from the lasagna because by the time I got home the salad was actually slightly warm. I ordered Thousand Island dressing and it was very tasty. It made the salad ot so bad.\ One order of the lasagna was twice the size of the other. I gave hubby the larger piece. My order to be honest was awful. When I opened the container it did not at all look appetizing. My first thought was... I paid all that for this? I hope it tastes better than it looks. The first bite was a disappointment I couldn't bite into it. Hard as a rock, bland, no cheese that I could tell and burnt (on the edges) pasta covered with a tasty marinara. So I picked through it and ate what I could. The garlic bread was moldy. I was upset . Here we were treating ourselves and this particular meal was not what I would serve anyone. I'd be embarrassed . If I didn't live 30 minutes away I would've taken it back. My check was 46.00 change and then a modest tip. I've decided you have to order steak or seafood.

The food and service were great as always. Their cream of crab is the best around, but all of the food here is good. It's a shame they are closing soon after so many years, they will definitely be missed!

This place gives excellent service as well as delicious food. The best spot ever. The meals came out fast and the rates are affordable. Will definitely recommend this place.

I've been going to the sunset for years. Their service is unsurpassed. Their servers are friendly, well informed and prompt. The food is delicious. I'm partial to the cream of crab soup and the relish tray. I will miss them very much
