The statue of Miss American Green Cross at its trailhead is a beautiful reminder of early American reforestation history. Sculpted by Frederick Willard Potter in 1928 as a symbol of conservation movement in the U. S. and particularly Glendale to save the forests of America.

Amazing trail. Less people than the Hollywood trail. 6/10 difficulty.

Loved the experience, there are many trail options according to your hiking abilities. Be wise which path you take. One of them is a tough one. Proper shoes are a must. Great view of the city.
