I called Hophan Plumbing based on a recommendation because my basement toilet was not flushing. They determined there was a clog in the drain line. I was told the line needed to be cleared. They did some work and the toilet was flushing again. They let me know, verbally, when I asked that there was a 30 day warranty. Upon their departure, the lead plumber volunteered that I should call if there were any problems and they don't run away from problems. Well, after a couple of weeks, the toilet stopped flushing again. I called first thing on Friday morning and was asked if I was available on the following Monday. I was told there were no earlier appointments. This was a problem because we are renovating the upstairs bath and our only functioning toilet was in the bathroom. Then he proceeded to tell me I needed to contact the person who originally put in the plumbing system. He snickered when I said the contractor was retired. This was installed years ago with no problems whatsoever. He offered that they would come and break up my floor and take it out. That response and the unwillingness to help me the same day did not sit right with me so I started doing my own research on the problem. I ended up buying a toilet auger and a power drain auger. Long story short is that I ended up discovering that the drain line had NOT been thoroughly cleared. And, I, an amateur, cleared it myself and have a properly flushing toilet without breaking up my floor and taking out my entire plumbing system. I would never use this company again and would never recommend this company to anyone.

I had a problem with my AC for 2 days, I called Hophan this morning and within an hour after I called they showed up and fixed the problem for now but the unit is 21 years old and I need a new one. I'm going to go with them for the new one. They are fast, friendly , courteous & explained everything to a first time home owner. If you need plumbing, heating or AC work I would highly recommend them.
