Unlike the Downtown Glenview station (which got 0 stars , half a star, and exactly 1 full star all at once thus a poor rating in all three ways possible), this station is decisively better. There is no Amtrak service here, but I heard Amtrak wants to change that by having trains stop here instead of downtown Glenview. That change better happen sooner rather than later. There is no station attendant here for you to buy tickets from. There is also not enough inbound trains that stop here during morning rush hour. Even those that do would still make just about every stop from here to Union station. The parking lot is a legitimate one here. It is much easier to park any vehicle as this is not just laying on the side of the street: this is a real parking lot and it's huge. There are two such parking lots here. As long as you have a valid parking permit for this station, you can park in any spot you like. Otherwise, pay for parking at a slot machine. When you do that, pay attention to the spot number you parked at so that you can enter it in as you pay. Therefore, instead of one star here, this place picks up another star for the substantially better parking lot layout. We can raise the rating once Amtrak starts making stops at this station.

Very nice fireworks display on the 4th of July. Awesome area to have a picnic and hang out

It's nice that it's covered so people won't freeze to death while waiting to the train in winter time. However on weekends and pretty much most of the time (that I used the service), there isn't anyone to sell tickets. Additionally, just as in the 19th century, there aren't any machines to buy tickets from, like the metro train (color lines). You end up being able to purchase tickets on the train only, which denies you the privilege of getting return discounted tickets, or other discounted tickets. That pretty much prevent people who live nearby from prices that people elsewhere can get. But it's easy to change money for the parking... Bottom line, a 19 century amenity
