The staff at Schram Memorial were so helpful and made us all feel safe during an elopement I shot here a few weeks ago. Beautiful grounds for wedding portraits. Would highly recommend this chapel for your wedding ceremony.

We had our wedding here on June 22nd. It was a beautiful chapel and the perfect ceremony location for what we wanted. Booking with the park district was pretty straight forward and simple. We had a staff member stay present during the times we used the chapel, in case we needed any help or assistance. The one drawback is that the parking situation outside the chapel is limited. Generally there is accessible parking in the school lot across the street. However, we were told (at the rehearsal, the night before the wedding) that parking would be significantly trickier since there was an event going on in the area during our ceremony. This was our only frustration with the park district, as we could have at least given guests a heads up if we had known earlier. All in all, I don't think that's a typical occurrence and I didn't take away a star for it. The chapel is beautiful- both the intimate interior and the beautiful flowers outside. We haven't received many pictures back yet, but the ones we have are beautiful.

If you're looking for a non-denominational setting for your wedding ceremony this is it. Schram Memorial Chapel offers a charming setting with good sight lines for your guests and great acoustics. I officiate here on a regular basis and my couples are always pleased.

I am a Christian Minister. I have performed ceremonies there several times. Schram is a beautiful facility, but I had a couple call me the week of their wedding stating I had to prove \Proof of Insurance\ before I would be allowed to step foot inside the chapel. The Proof of Insurance rider would cost me almost as much as I was charging the Bride and Groom. I e-mailed Schram Chapel and told them that if they wanted Officiants to provide Proof in Insurance, they needed to state that in the original contract. Amending the terms of the contract after it was written posed an Ex Post Facto situation against their client. They quickly backed down. I am not sure what their current policy is.
