Starting a new fitness goal can be challenging – especially when it’s a martial art. I am not an athlete by any stretch of the imagination and my days as a higher education professional can vary from highly active to extremely desk-bound. I knew I wanted to study an approach that was not only an excellent workout but practical for self-defense as a woman. I also knew that I would want to learn in a community that would support my growth as a newcomer and not make me feel like an outsider. I have found all of this at Wing Tsun Illinois. The environment of Wing Tsun Illinois is close-knit and welcoming. You quickly get to know other students and the instructors work tirelessly to foster a supportive an inclusive environment. As an educator, I love their approach to crafting engaging classes that help us to better digest the material and understand its use in practice. Each instructor skillfully supports the development of every student and works to make new material accessible and fun! I don’t say this lightly: joining Wing Tsun Illinois is one of the best decisions I have made for my personal growth. I leave each class feeling accomplished and invigorated. Even on days when I am tired and feel out of step – I always feel supported. I cannot recommend Wing Tsun Illinois highly enough.

I highly recommend Wing Tsun IL! My son has been coming here for about 3yrs. Jim is a great instructor, he is really patients with the kids. We like how he always communicates with us in a way on how he can help our son more. Let's keep in mind Kung Fu is not only about self defense, it's also about dicipline, respect and much more. Soon our youngest son will be joining, and he is excited!

I trained with these instructors for two weeks while I was in Chicago on a work trip. I wasn't sure what to expect, but these guys were so hospitable and welcoming even for a rookie like me who wasn't going to be around for long. I am very fortunate to have found this place and would recommend it to anyone seeking to better themselves through martial arts. Even if it's just for a couple weeks, you will learn something, although I suggest sticking around for awhile so you can really get good and experience what they have to offer.
