I love having cheap rent and I don't mind much that the quality of the apartment is kind of low. You get what you pay for. Pretty much everything in the apartment was broken or breaking but the maintainence people are pretty good at fixing things quickly. In summary, if you don't mind living in a non-bougie place for cheaper rent than Glenwood is great. Also the lodge and hot tub are pretty cool, plus it's super close to campus. I never struggled to find parking spaces but my parking pass got cooked onto my back window, which was stupid.

Staying here definitely was not worth it. The phrase should be "living here and not loving it." It is over priced and is pretty run down. I don't know if this is common in BYU housing, but all of the beds in my apartment were on cinder blocks. Just a mattress and box spring on top of some cinder blocks that are easy to stub your toe on. Oh yeah, and everything is dirty so I don't know if no one ever ever cleaned the apartments and they bribed the office to pass their cleaning checks or if they never do repairs. Probably both since we had no smoke detector in our apartment (the cords were hanging out of the ceiling) and the office never did anything about it. There are hidden fees like the 35 non-refundable fee at the end of the semester which they said was for carpet cleaning, but that never actually happened. I would avoid this place and not waste your time and money here. These are some pictures of my room when I moved in.
Glenwood IS very social and close to everything which is nice. It has a lot of history, but it's time that Glenwood changed some things. While it is a hectic time for renovations, my reason for two stars is because the communications are very poor and mold has persisted everywhere in these apartments. Oh! Don't forget they DOUBLED the price of laundry! Without notice! I became so frustrated with the new ownership for not giving us enough notice to transfer our things and for having us move out in the middle of finals. Not to mention, the premium apartments have significantly LESS storage and just as much mold. I don't think I'd recommend this complex unless the mold issue is resolved among many other issues. It is not worth what it costs.
Glenwood was recently bought out by new ownership and it has only gone downhill. The new owners are big residential company that owns much of the housing in Provo. They are definitely not honest. They tried to sneak provisions into the lease for the fall that goes against BYU Approved Housing guidelines (you couldn't get out of your contract if you graduate from BYU). Additionally, rent, utilities, and parking fees all increased for the next year substantially more than would be expected or is standard. They also doubled the rates for laundry. Not impressed and would not recommend. Glenwood used to be a good deal for the value, but now I will be warning everyone to stay away from this place. It's just not worth it, trust me.
Y'all just gunna double the cost of laundry like that? Shameful. How do you think Jesus feels about you taking advantage of broke college students? I hope this weighs on your conscience next time you're in for your temple recommend interview. Also, the apartments are small and dumpy. Listen friend, you deserve better. Don't let them treat you this way. Find an apartment that respects you like the King/Queen/gender-nonbianary monarch you are.
Apartments are older, but not terrible. Parking can be rough near the buildings but there is always parking in the overflow right behind the apartments. Had some minor issues sorting out my contract before I moved in but nothing too complicated. The people living there are great and the low rent is nice.
There's a lot of housing in Provo, so you should definitely consider Glenwood last. If your apartment is not upgraded, it's going to be gross. I did a lot of deep cleaning with bleach and a toothbrush to make it look bearable, and even then there are certain parts that I couldn't make a dent in. Maintenance crews are very slow to respond to any requests you put in. Glenwood and the University Parking Enforcement will do everything in their power to screw you over when it comes to parking. I had a friend who was booted just a few hours after he moved in because the office was closed and that's who you have to contact to receive a parking pass. How does that make any sense? And you get put on a wait list because they apparently have limited passes even though you have a lease to live there? Unbelievable. As if college students don't have enough to worry about when it comes to the cost of rent and school. Absolutely pathetic. I only tolerated living here because all of my roommates are my close friends. I'm sure if we knew about the awful living conditions, we would have all found someplace else. Glenwood is a sorry excuse for student housing.
The lodges at Glenwood was a good place to live, especially your first year. It’s close to town and campus, and the apartments are adequate. The basic apartment was older, but it worked for college students. Would recommend for those in the first year.
