Big wilderness area that's for sure. Very plush and green. I liked being there.

We stopped only at the rest area here and it was an unexpected treat. You walk down a large set of steps (coming back up was torture) but you can walk right down to the river (some people were playing/tubing in it). We sat on rocks along it and it was one of the most peaceful experiences hearing/seeing the water rush by. There were super small water falls which were beatiful. The only negative thing was the smell in the bathrooms and there were no sinks. The toilets are toilet seats that lead to big holes in the ground so I can imagine it is hard to control the smell. Other than that the bathrooms were decent.

Excellent place to come if you are the hiking or outdoors type. Lots of stuff to do including bike riding, fishing, having a picnic or even just to hang out. Lots of parking spaces for handicapped parking. There is also very clean public restrooms. Spectacular views. During the summer months this area can get extremely packed with river goers. The wild horses can be seen and heard at random times if you look for them. Excellent part of the salt river

We went there on memorial day weekend and we didn't see a soul for miles. You need a 4 by 4 to get back in to the river but it's well worth it.

Very beautiful rest stop... Great views of river, bridge, and rocks. Stairs were closed due to covid, but you can walk down to river usually. Small doggy rest area separate from main facility.
