The care they provide to the rescues is amazing. Great foster parents. I've gotten two dogs from Safe Harbor and I count my blessings!
We adopted two sweet labs from Safe Harbor. The process was straightforward and quick. Those who volunteer their time supporting the rescue are professional and responsive with the goal of finding the right homes for their rescues.
SHLR is the BEST. The process from end-to-end was amazing. They even steered me away from dogs that weren't a right fit for me (but who hopefully found the right home / owners). I adopted King (formerly Bubba) in 2015... he is amazing. We are Ohana as they say.. family. LOVE, LOVE. I've tested his DNA and he is actually 50% Lab / 50% Doberman. It is a GREAT mix! And then even better once I understood his super protective nature (I have no fear for my household with King). Anyway, don't hesitate to use SHLR if you want a great adoption process. Love the labs! (and now part Doberman... who knew?) :)
