At Goochland DMV Select we were turned away even though we contacted the customer service # we called on THEIR door. The spokesperson said try to go in & request information. It was just best to make a 2 month appointment or the rude staff member will tell you to go somewhere else. No appointment, No service...she said. However, I have a suggestion for those who are not too familiar with the area. Google the DMV in Mineral, VA. It's about 32-36 minutes out from the Goochland DMV. KUDOS to the well organized & customer friendly staff at the MINERAL DMV!!! Although the wait was long (about 2-3 hrs for us), it was worth time & trip to take care of the much needed car business. I would suggest that you go with your spouse or a very patient friend, because only one of you will be able to leave to go out & eat/drink if they are extremely busy. The other person (spouse/friend) will have to stay on the premises or you WILL loose your place & you will be issued another number or not served at all. They have a green portable stall on the outside of the building that appears to get cleaned 2 times a day...but it is no place for a woman!!! Go up the road about a mile or 2. You will see Hardees & McDonald's to eat/drink/bathroom break. I learned the hard way that there are no restroom services provided by any of the local businesses surrounding The Mineral DMV... & trust me, the locals don't care if you are pregnant.

Line was about a hlf hour long. Once it got going tho i was in & out. Staff handed out beepers & ask ppl to sit in their cars. Great idea

More concerned with waiting for the next appointment than filling the gap with folks that need a title change. I was at the front of the line and listened to three or so employees joke around and talk for 20 minutes and then tell me i didn't have an appointment. Total sit on your butt and do nothing state employee. Terrible Customer Service. [email protected]
