My husband and I have had 2 storage pods at Arizona Storage Center for the past 5 months. We have been building our house, so everything we own is in these pods. Recently we went to collect a few things from one of our pods and noticed towels we happened to have stored in there were soaking wet. Upon looking further there were more wet items in the same area on both of our pods. When we returned home and opened the items we had gone to get we discovered they were all rusted. Obviously the water that was flooding into our pods was causing enough moisture to build up that our items were rusting. We spoke with the nice lady in the office and she had a service tech come out the next day to make repairs. The unfortunate part is the flooding is caused by a design flaw. Under the pods is a void were water just floods and the hole on the floor of the pod where the door latch goes in allows water to just flow into the pod. When we informed them of this the manager said they'd give us a pod in a different row. Meaning we would have to move all of our belongings once again. We considered this and went to speak to another family who was currently at their pod in that new row. They informed us that their pod also floods and their couch had water damage. We let the office lady know we wouldn't be moving pods because it would happen again. The manager told her they would refund us for one month of rent but ONLY if we switched to their insurance and didn't use the insurance we already have. They will do nothing to help us unless we do what they want. I am absolutely disgusted by this type of service. Their design flaw caused damage to our items and all they want is for us to use their insurance to benefit them. I would never recommend this storage center based of the fact that their units are flawed and allow water to flow in freely and their horrible customer service and complete disregard for their customers belongings. I would give zero stars if that was an option.
