Quiet area. Great fishing. Fish hit on just about anything. Locals are very helpful. Camping is nice too.

Drove up 2 times in December and spent 4 hrs each time and the second time fished in 3 different places on the river and every kind of bait not one bite, water was running pretty fast and to high to use waders
Was flowing good yesterday, the water coming off the bottom of Tenkiller Lake thru the conduit gates is always so cold, it felt good!
What can I say that could describe this kinda beauty better than your own eyes. So many fantastic landscapes along the Illinois and Tenkiller lake. And lots of local communities with hidden gems. Like an apple dumpling from princess diner. No I won't tell you where it is, but it is near lake Tenkiller. When you find the right place you you will be glad you went. Or grab a Monte Cristo from Soda Steve's. Either destination will offer you a beautiful drive, and nice local amenities.
Great spot. Fishing is hit or miss, and have never caught huge ones, but it is still a nice place to get quiet rod and reel time.
