I have trained at the Gracie Barra in St. Louis Park for just over a month now. As a former college wrestler with 20 years of wrestling experience, I had previously been searching for a new combat sport with lower body impact than wrestling. At Gracie Barra I have found a knowledgeable staff, welcoming members, and great facilities. The sport of Jujitsu itself has a lot to offer in numerous techniques and strategies to practice. I would say I have been most impressed by how enthusiastic all staff and members are in sharing their knowledge of Jujitsu. Overall, my experience with Jujitsu and Gracie Barra has been top notch and I recommend anyone looking for a new physical activity to give it a try.

This place has decent training. Although there is a good amount of drama in the company between the clients. I recently (more than one month ago) cancelled my membership. This is because they overcharged for a one year membership by two months and I did not get a refund. Even after my cancellation they kept charging the credit card now I need to do a charge back. Another downside is they keep financial information (paper copy of the back and front of your credit card and license) in the front of the building in an unlocked cabinet. I would steer clear from this place there are plenty of good established jujitsu places in town with no shady practices.
Awesome gym, great location and the instructors are awesome. If you want to get into Jiu Jitsu or already are, definitely come by this gym and check out what they have to offer. Loving it so far
Great gym with knowledgeable staff. They really take the time to help each person individually achieve their goals. Anyone who joins and puts forth a solid effort basically earns themselves an extended jiu-jitsu family. I would highly recommend this gym for any level athlete looking to challenge themselves and meet some great friends and training partners.
I moved to Gracie Barra earlier last year and was immediately welcomed and accepted on my first day. This school has a unique brotherhood (and sisterhood) and provides a great atmosphere for serious competition BJJ players and people who want to manage their fitness and weight level. Since Gracie Barra is a worldwide organization, once you join the school, you are part of a large, and great family. I've dropped in to train at many gyms and belonged to another gym prior to signing up with Gracie Barra and in my opinion, GB is everything that is right with BJJ. From the Future Champions (kids) program to the Black Belt classes, the school he healthy safe, friendly, and a welcoming environment. I have had nothing but great experiences with Gracie Barra Twin Cities.
I have trained in several Jiu Jitsu Schools, and I highly recommend Gracie Barra Twin Cities. The teachers are technical, knowledgeable and caring, the students are seasoned competitors, and the staffs are friendly. They are professional with what they do.
I have tried a few different Jiu Jitsu and MMA gyms and really appreciate the atmosphere at Gracie Barra. The enthusiasm of the instructors and the willingness of the other students to nurture growth in the other members. I get a lot of support in the learning process every step of the way. I get to train with black belts and world champions and they take the time to help me advance my game on a regular basis. I drive from the north end of Blaine to St. Louis Park for class and its well worth the drive for me as I see a great value in the training I receive at GB.
There are much better places to train. This gym is poorly managed and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
