This a real farm. If you wear boots, a flannel, and a beard as a fashion statement you may not like it. If you wear them as a way of life, this place may be for you. If you want to see an environment akin to where the beer making process all started - which uses local ingredients, grows hops on an agricultural setting, and not another industrial mass production brewery - this may be the place for you. If you want to see what American ingenuity can do in the beer making process, this place may be for you. If you are beer critic who prides themselves on creating the nastiest beer review you can write, who has never created a brewery (or anything else), or brewed a batch of beer, move along your opinion means nothing. Congratulations on your cell phone and internet access. We're American farmers, raising American families, making American Beer, and supporting our local communities. I don't know what your doing.

Stopped by to check out the new brewery and ordered a flight of beer. Two of their IPAs and a stout. All three were completely undrinkable. Second Son IPA was bitter but not that quenching bitter hop flavor one would expect and look forward to but more the soap. Simply horrid. The Dreamcatcher IPA basically tasted as if tapped too soon. A malty, yeasty abomination. The Horseshoe Stout.. well one sip and I knew it wasn't right. The after taste, OMG! I politely placed the still full flight back on the bar and told the help it was the worst I've encountered. They were silent. The after taste of the stout lasted a good half hour after leaving. With the wealth of good breweries in CT there's just not reason you should venture far off the trail to visit this one. That is unless you prefer muddy parking, barren unsightly grounds and beer that is putrid. Hooker, Back East, Problem Solved are all nearby and far more worth your time.
