This is a family owned business, Jim has been there 27 years! Jamie his daughter does the cleaning and is very meticulous. She is lovely and a wonderful daughter to her Dad Jim. These are special people that are kind and friendly. Happy hour every evening on the deck at the big house. Love this place!

Found this gem while doing a search for a cabin in the area that could accommodate 6 comfortably. This was the place! The moment we arrived Jim treated us like family. There are several cabins and we stayed in the Schoolhouse. It is the largest cabin and we had more than enough room. We enjoyed a spacious wrap around deck, second story loft with iron spiral staircase and a mounted elk to finish the ambiance. The bubbling Creek right outside was a welcome evening serenade. The linens and bathrooms were very clean. The kitchen had all of the pots, pans, dishes and utensils that you would need. Also a basket of coffee, popcorn and oatmeal was there. This cabin had a wood fireplace but we didn't use it. The main Lodge had a homey atmosphere with plenty of board games and big TV with ample DVD selection. Horseback riding was available right across the street and there were plenty of trails and streams to explore in the area. My kiddos are already asking to come back in the winter. A bonus is that Jim looks and plays the part of Santa Claus. Our littlest was on his best behavior all weekend long;)

If you want A truly authentic Colorado experience ,stay here.No glitzy fake people smiling because they are getting paid to do so these are real people the friendliest group you will ever find. Each cabin is decorated in true old west style not from souvenir shops. Its a truly beautiful memorable place replete with trail rides ,bon fires( when allowed)and a fishing pond plus some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the State cant wait to go back! Special thanks to Jim( Santa) White the proprietor of this fine establishment and to his hard working family and many friends who make the place magical.!!

I had to dig into the depths of google to find this beautiful place! We initially wanted to stay 1 night.. however it was so peaceful we chose to stay another night. Jim "Santa" and his daughter were great hosts. We were the only people in the cabins for the weekend. It was perfect. Clean and comfy. The only con was mosquitos, the did mention they spray for them but wouldn't happen for a couple weeks. We were only about 20 min from Lake Granby.

BEWARE! 1. Upon check-in, we were told that our prepaid breakfasts were not available because the cook had retired. No refund given when requested. 2. Our cabin had an overwhelming strong pungent odor that seemed to be a mixture of leaking natural gas and rotten meat or dairy. 3. Our cabin had deep stains all over the carpet throughout the bedrooms, bathrooms, and hallways. Large dried pool of chemical residue left in main tub. 4. For all these reasons, we immediately left and contacted owner Jim. He agreed to look into giving us some refund since we didn't stay at all. He never followed up with us. We made several attempts to contact Jim over the phone, always level-headed and friendly, and he always gave an excuse for us to call later and then finally started hanging up on us. 5. To date, the owner has kept the full amount (over 580) for a cabin we never used. He has been unwilling to even provide a partial refund, which is all we asked for from the start. We'd never go here again, nor recommend it to anyone.

My cabin was cozy, warm, clean, and in a wonderful location. If you enjoy places away from people, this one is for you. The ranch is on the outskirts of Granby, with light pollution so low that the stars look close enough to touch. The area is surrounded by trees, and is very quiet all the time. The owner, Jim, was very kind to me during my stay. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm visiting the area.
