I have known Tom the owner since our High school years 1972. Tom is very knowledgeable and loves serving 1st and foremost. He doesn't care about profit from the business. He is more concerned about making a happy customer. He will try to shock and all you just to see where you stand. Right or left. But it's always in good clean fun.He was Champion of the debate team at Michigan State university.

I love this place and the owners are awesome! Love seeing the pups when I go in there. i always go in for my unusual reading material such as Great Lakes Pilot and much more. Im not in there as often as I used to be- but I always make it a priority when I come into town. Thanks To Hostetters for all the years of awesome goodies and service!
With this shop it is more than just the product. It has all of the novelties that you would want out of your local haberdashery store. You have an owner that runs it the way he wants it to be run not the way people tell him to and he makes sure you know that but as long as you don't step out of line with him at no point will he treat you poorly. I had little to no knowledge on cigars when I walked in there but he took me to the cigar room and explained what to look for, how to cut it, and what makes a good smoke. Very knowledgeable man.
Very customer oriented. If you dont have a sense of humor or cant take any bit of crudeness then maybe it's not the place for you if you strike up a conversation. Great selection of cigars, and the owner will point you in the direction of you are not familiar. Will be visiting again for a restock.
