The Hall County Sheriff's Office and the Grand Island Police Department are located at a shared location, The Law Enforcement Center constructed in 2008. The Sheriff's Office responds to calls 24 hours a day. The Sheriff holds an elected office, which is voted on by the citizens of the county. The Sheriff is elected to a four year term and he or she may serve additional terms if re-elected by the citizens.
