I highly recommend this camp! Such a relaxing place to go for a family get away and the beach is right around across the street! We even had a crab and shrimp boil with crabs we caught from the Gulf and shrimp purchased directly from the shrimp boats! All of this enjoyed in the screened-in downstairs area. There is even an area to clean your catches of the day! All the comforts of home with so much more.

Wow! So my reservation was made and paid in full in June, and 2 weeks before my family's last family vacation, I get a email to cancel my reservation! I would have never known, had PayPal not sent the money straight to my checking account. I couldn't even get a phone call! My family has been planning and excited about this for months! The off season is 4 months, and the only time the renovations can be completed are the 4 days my family scheduled! Also, no one knew about these necessary modifications in advance? I've called an no where near where we were staying had availability near the original price! I guess the old saying is true you get what you pay for. My family is extremely disappointed! Update. - I am now being told it was because of damage caused during the tropical storm, that happened in July. I still find this very unprofessional since someone has stayed in the rental during 4 months since the storm, including a week before my reservation was canceled. Also, if this is legit and it did why wait until 2 weeks before to cancel! There were 120 days to allow my family time to make arrangements! I stand by my very unprofessional behavior and everyone should book your family's vacation some where else!
This camp is perfect and affordable for all your family needs and in a great location. It’s across the road from the beach with easy access to the beach. It’s close to stores and snowball stand. The screened in area is really nice. The camp is clean and very roomy. The camp owner is very responsive and professional. He did everything to please his customers. I gave five stars because it’s really nice and a bargain. My only complaints would be as another person stated is the A/C at 74 is a little warm for me and took a little while to cool at night and the wagon shown in the picture is locked so I had to carry more to beach than I wanted. Like I said no real complaints because it’s great and I understand locking personal belongings so it’s there and in working order when you need it yourself. All in all you won’t find better deal for the size, and extras this camp offers. Thanks Camp Laid Back we enjoyed our stay back in June.
Very nice place to stay at! It's clean, and has all kitchen necessities! Beach access right across! Plenty of space inside the camp. The only issue we've had is that we weren't allowed to put the air lower than 74 or it supposedly freezes up. It's hot in the camp during the day time, and when we go to bed at night (approximately 11PM) It's just starting to kinda cool off.
My family stayed here for the weekend and loved it! It's comfortable and has lots of space. There is a great screened in area downstairs with fans and an additional full size refrigerator/freezer. There are pots and burners for a crawfish boil(which we had). It's also right across the street from the beach so my nephews had fairly easy access for surf fishing and us the beach. I will stay definitely stay there again.
