Absolutely love this Dojo and community! Very very grateful to be part of it and to have found it. Caring people, kind and loving community, and a very safe place to grow and learn. It’s wonderful to be in a Dojo with such competent teachers, where everyone’s goal is to make sure it’s a safe and healthy learning experience.

My experience at Aikido Ka has been rewarding, safe, and tons of fun. The members are a solid community of gentle warriors. The teacher and the students exemplify my philosophy of the "Warriors highest charter; To protect life and question authority." We train so that we experience no fear and no pain. The atmosphere is always joyful and above all safe. The chief instructor is very good at ensuring we are protecting each other while we learn to become highly effective maritally. This is truly the art of peace, and I feel honored to be training with such a wonderful dojo family.

This is a dynamic community asset. When considering a move to a new community, having access to an Aikido dojo was a critical piece of the choice. Having trained in the California Bay area for 32 years with it's abundant and stellar lineup of teachers and students, it was exciting to find this Aikido'Ka Dojo. Sensei Frank Blocksberg is an excellent teacher and has created a healthy learning environment for children and adults. He honors and respects his students, giving clear and precise training that allows growing in the art of Aikido at one's personal pace and ability. Co-teachers are exemplary and we have the good fortune of having special trainings with other high ranking, longtime students of the art. A great place to workout the body... and the mind... and polish the spirit.

Joining a martial arts studio can be intimidating, with all the punching and kicking and the expected pecking order. Whew! Aikido'Ka is not like that! From the instant you walk in, you feel welcome and comfortable. The instructors are very pleasant and the students are happy to have you join them. You will become like them, if you are not already. Aikido at Aikido'Ka is tailored after the founders ideals. O'sensei (the founder) says it is the Art of Peace and that is how it is taught here. Hope to see you in class.

I have trained in Aikido for approximately 35 years and continue to appreciate how I am always brought back to "Beginners Mind" in my practice of this beautiful art. I have lived in different parts of the country during these decades and thus have trained in different styles and with a variety of teachers. The Aikido'Ka dojo is an oasis for this "Art Of Peace" in the Grass Valley area and I am grateful to have such a quality dojo and great students to be training with. The core of every dojo is reflected by the attitude of the young people in their children's program and Frank Bloksberg is very dedicated to and seems very effective in how he passes the Aiki Principles to the children who attend his classes. Bloksberg Sensei has a firm grasp of the higher principles imbued in this art while also keeping the martial aspects of this art intact and evolving. I look forward to many more good years of training at Aikido'Ka.

Grass Valley is incredibly fortunate to have a martial arts school of the caliber of Aikido'Ka. The head instructor, Frank Bloksberg, truly embodies the principles of aikido, an art known as "The Way of Peace." Beyond the decades of experience that Mr. Bloksberg brings to the mats every class, Aikido'Ka regularly brings in world-famous aikido teachers to make sure their members get the highest quality training possible. The children's program gives every child a kind, caring environment where they learn focus, discipline, self control, and self defense. Teens and adults can expect to train with a safe group of dedicated martial artists, but also can expect to get a great workout. If you want to learn martial arts, stepping into Aikido'Ka should be your first step. Alan Best, Chief Instructor - Best Martial Arts Institute, Eugene, Oregon.
