Grayslake does a great job keeping their parks beautiful. There are always people out enjoying them, but I never find them overcrowded.

This place has gotten away with doing the bare minimum for long enough. Went to the Balloon Launch last night and it was essentially a large open field with the token TWO carnival games ( gross, pedestrian) this was a huge opportunity for the park district to do something really special. The summer camps are boring and uninspired and with what the park district charges for these camps there should be new and exciting things happening all the time. Unfortunately the decision makers at the park district office are far more concerned with just \moving residents along\ than investing any real time or interest.

What a great facility! Had my daughter's birthday party here and loved every minute! Staff takes care of everything set up and clean up! Worth every penny!! 2 ladies that helped today were excellent!

Parked at Alleghany Park today on a business call and I see this: a mom and two kids about to use playground but still a little wet from night rains. Grounds guy driving by on cart, without being asked, stops, gets backpack blower out and dries entire thing down for them. Wow! Waves, and off he goes. Pretty special. I even took picture.

Friendly and helpful staff. Grayslake has some wonderful Parks and recreation facilities, classes, and trips,available to its citizens. Take advantage of them!
