I volunteer here to help with unwanted adopted farm animals. I'm getting older, don't have a pet so I get to visit the animals. It is a non profit, so any donations are helpful.

My wife would take a 30 minute drive (one way) to Bolivia to buy eggs at 5.50/dozen. We knew it was quite expensive but thought, what the heck, this way we can get some what we thought were organic eggs and at the same time support a local farm, why not. After she had become a regular customer, she would come by again to get eggs and some other stuff, but this time the owner lady did not allow my wife to get 5 dozen of eggs, saying that they did not have enough eggs and that they would only allow to buy 2 dozen at the time. What??? I am spending an hour on the road to buy these expensive eggs and you tell me that I can only get 2 dozen? I'd like to mention that the owner was quite rude at this time, not that she would be the most polite and friendly person the other times, and to top things off, she offered ORGANIC eggs instead for 6.50 a dozen. So lady, you are telling me that I have been buying NON organic eggs for 5.50 here for the past few months, and still treating me like I was bothering you by wanting to buy 5 dozen at this price? We have never met with a worse customer service in our lives, and still do not understand how they manage to stay in business. The meat prices just like the eggs are at least twice as much as other places. Lastly, very important fact about this store is that they do not have a consistent supply of fresh foods on hand. You never know if they are going to have what you are coming for in stock that day. Whether it is meat, eggs, or bakery, you just have to take a gamble every time you decide to go there.

I love this store- it's one of my \happy places!\...I would especially recommend the polenta cakes and mango tarts. But everything I have tried there is really good quality!
