Rediculous to have this closed Mon, Tues, Wed. Insulting to raise the fees from 80/yr to 140 per year. Shameful town government. CT ranks FIRST in the fifty states for taxes and fees..... Incredible....

Those involved in proposing and voting for the current transfer station hours obviously don't run small businesses, or even utilize the transfer station for more then throwing out their leaves in the fall. Why in the world didn't you space the days apart, like Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, if you're only going to be open three days a week? Why clump all the days together, Thursday, Friday and Saturday? Is that so we can drive around with trash in our vehicles all week? Did you try to think through the hours and days open, or did you just literally pull them out of a hat? Or was it actually to discourage using the transfer station in the first place? It seems to defy all logic.
