This small shop has the most amazing food. New to the neighborhood and wanted to grab some lunch and found this place on google maps as being close to us. Seriously good food. Rich and tasty. We enjoyed the garlic fries, catfish and fried chicken sandwiches and the fried chicken on greens.

This place is obviously one of the finest place to eat in the neighborhood. Anytime I visit this place I am deeply pleased. They maintain their high standard service and the topmost level of food they offer. You will be always satisfied with this place. Warmly recommended.
What on earth? How did I not know about Gregoire before the pandemic!? I got takeout thinking it was going to be yet another faux-French joint that would be pretty good but not 100%. I'm totally blown away - it is amazing! The puff pastry is perfection! The flavors of everything are all well balanced and the textures masterful. Wow. This has vaulted past all my other faves in the area and is officially my go-to Berkeley spot.
Hooooo the sandwiches are great, all of them, but for real don't walk away without an order of potato puff balls. Try em normal, try em with truffle essence, but be aware it will overwhelm the smell of everything. Good COVID 'put in an order for pickup and run home' spot. The lamb, fried chicken and pulled pork sandwiches are my fave. Go now!
