The Morrow Point Dam is at the base of the Mesa Creek Trail, and in all honesty, it is one of my favorite hikes in all of Colorado. It is simple, easy, has well established trails, and lots of trees for shade on hot sunny days, offers some great views, and is dog friendly. Really, what more could one ask for from a trail? I would highly recommend everyone try out this hike and DEFINITELY take the time to visit the bottom of the dam. It was such a great pit stop on the drive from Gunnison National Park back to Colorado Springs.

nice place to visit AND have a rest perfect for photography
Beautiful place to visit. Nice view of the dam below. Lots of places to fish and hike. It was real busy on Memorial Day weekend and we never felt their were to many people.
