After spending a week at the Cliffhouse, we have a new definition of "perfect" and it lies at 150 Door of Faith RD. We are so lucky to have chosen this beautiful place for our honeymoon. The outdoor shower is amazing in the morning, midday and nighttime. The splash pool is private and ideal for midday cool-offs. The view overlooking the waterfall and ocean NEVER gets old and provides the most tranquil vista. The sunrises are what dreams are made of, we'll never forget our first one the morning after we arrived: the valley appears pitch black before the sun starts slowly spilling light over the luscious rain forest. The backyard waterfall is one of the most beautiful and stunning throughout all of Maui. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and totally made us feel like VIPs. The place itself was immaculate, clean and simply magical. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil our meals required. PRO TIPS: do the farm tour & sauna, sleep in the guest house when it rains, take coffee on the sun deck closest to the waterfall, and frequently pinch yourself because we are certain our time here was an absolute dream. This beautiful eco garden resort is a gem w breathtaking views of the ocean below. Nightly jasmine scents, incredibly delicious food grown right on the premises available for purchase. It's not one of these fancy resorts .. much better. Its quiet, lots of plant filled nooks, mellow and away from it all. Delightful.

I’ve never felt so relaxed. We stayed in the Sunrise Room, the windows were amazing. The ground are beautiful, the place has all the eco friendly amenities. The views are beyond anything I’ve seen. Staff is friendly. Wish we stayed more than 2 days. Will be coming back. So far my favorite stay in Maui

A truly magical place! We stayed in the waterfall room, and I started crying when I walked in because it is absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. With private decks, a private hot tub, a private pool, a round bed with a view of the moonrise , and a building based on sacred geometry... I was in awe! A dream come true. I absolutely recommend Hale Akua!

My wife and I stayed here for almost a week for our honeymoon and it was incredible to say the least. We stayed in the Plumeria Room as well as the Cliff House for a couple nights. The entire property was a lush green paradise and very peaceful. The staff was very accommodating and extremely friendly. Naia took us on a tour of the grounds when we checked in and was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, our schedule didn't leave space for the eco tour they offer, but we were very interested. One suggestion we have is this: no matter what your plans may be while staying here, try to set aside at least a day to relax on the property and enjoy it. After our frantic pack-as-much-as-we-can-into-our-short-time-here schedule, we spent the last day just reading in the sun surrounded by the sounds of nature and re-centering ourselves. It was an unbelievable experience staying here and it made returning back to the real world extremely difficult. We definitely recommend this place to others.
