I'm just now reading these reviews after adopting our mini Schnauzer. After finding Sam on PetFinder, I filled out the application & received a call the next day to set up a meeting. Being an essential worker, I didn't have regular days off & asked if they could possibly meet the following week. Linda was more than gracious in agreeing to foster him another week, saying he was a great little guy. We met Sam & immediately fell in love, so we took him home after signing the paperwork. He's settled into his new home wonderfully & got along with our other Schnauzer immediately. We thought he may have been mixed & did a DNA test on him & confirmed he was a purebred mini Schnauzer. That being said, the 795 adoption fee was not a big deal. All the negative reviews on here really surprised me. My experience with Wagging Hearts was great!

filled out an application for two pups. one of them was adopted but the other was still available. we were supposed to see her but then they said she was recently fixed and had tore her stitches so the foster family needed to take her back to the vet. we were totally supportive in getting her the care she needed and to see her when she was ready. they said we would hear back the following week after a follow up. no response after several phone calls. we finally emailed and they emailed us back saying she had been adopted. no phone call. nothing. an email after calling multiple times. truly heartbreaking after emotionally investing ourselves in the girl and they talked her up to be the perfect fit for our family. they could’ve at least reached out via phone and been more professional given the circumstances.
We fostered several puppies with Wagging Hearts and it was such an incredible experience for our family! I wish I could give them 10 stars! Linda and her team were amazing to work with and her compassion for all of her rescues is simply incredible. The lengths Linda goes to in order save puppies and find them forever homes is just heroic. She was so helpful and responsive to everything we needed. We fell in love with our last foster pup who is now part of our family. We look forward to fostering and working with them again soon.
Linda, Martha, and Sherri have been AMAZING !!! My adoption was the best. We never had a dog before so were very nervous it would not be a good fit. Linda let us foster and it was the best. Chloe is my best friend. 7 years later after seeing personally so many of my friends and family's becoming forever homes has been such a great joy. These ladies have their heart and soul in every adoption. All the transports vet visits finding forever homes is endless. Thank you for all that you do. Our family needs a new pup ladies. Work your magic. Thank you for EVERYTHING !!!!
Adopted the sweetest puppy from them. They work with a vet in Elgin also.
