We had an amazing day learning to surf with Chad and another great instructor. We had rare high summer surf due to Hurricane Hector passing to our south. Made for challenging, but rewarding surfing for our kids first surf outing. And local surf legend 'Bonzai Betty' captured the action for us to make for a perfect experience!

2 Hours with Matt for a beginner's class on the North Shore. Fantastic experience and would highly recommend Sunset Suzy Surf School if you're wanting to learn how to surf. They were very responsive and kept us up to date on changes to beaches and surf to best learn on for the appointment.

My daughter just finished up a week of surf camp with Suzy and her crew. I could not have been more impressed with each and every one of them! The camp was AWESOME, and my daughter had a total blast. Suzy is amazing, so kind and excellent with kids, and her staff are just as awesome! Couldn’t have been happier to support someone local and also have a blast myself watching my kiddo surf. Gorgeous beach and great staff. Highly recommend Suzy for any of your surf lesson needs.

My 9 year old daughter had her lesson with Jason, who was amazing! Within 15 min, he had her out in the water and shortly after she was riding the waves. Her lesson was one of the highlights of our trip. Jason was patient with her and worked really well with kids. Really impressed! Mahalo!

My partner and I chose Suzy for our absolute first surfing experience. We are comfortable in the water, but by no means are we athletic types, so Suzy and her brother Matthew did not have much to work with, haha! But nothing phased them, Matthew was patient and supportive. And it was awesome to hang with the pups, I love anyone that loves dogs that much. Thanks to Matthew I have now surfed! It was a singular experience and it could not have happened without Suzy's Surfing!

One of the best experiences we had in Hawaii. We took the beginner surf lesson (the gear was all included) and were greeted by Caleb, our instructor. He did a great job explaining us the basics on the beach for the first 5-10 min and then into the waves we went. We had an amazing time learning how to surf and highly recommend it anyone wanting to give it a shot.

100% awesome. Sadly Suzy was feeling sick but instead of canceling she hooked me up with another cool instructor who was very kind and easy to learn from. I've taken lessons from other surf schools but they guide you into a wave not really teach you how to surf by yourself or understand waves. My lesson was focused on how I can surf by myself and I love that. Get better Suzy I hope to see you and your dog out there one day
