Great value for the experience. Done it 3 times now. Once we saw tons of turtles/tortoises (don't know the difference). The other two times we didn't, but we had our very young kids on the SUPs with us (one in diapers eating snacks) while we explored the river. Plus we loved our free snow cone afterward.

Great place to rent paddleboards! The hard top paddleboards are only 20 an hour. They let us rent them right at the end of the day and they are right where the river and bay meet so you can go and paddle both areas. There is a rope swing on the river that is fun and we were able to see some turtles out in the bay! Their boards were nice and they provided instruction for those who were unsure of themselves. Would definitely recommend.
Went for an afternoon surfing 5mi n away. Although the selection was quite limited they were trying to be helpful. I rented a 6'0 fish that was "near new". The issue was when returning the board. The fiber was torn on a few inches forming a right angle near the stringer. I should have checked earlier but there is no way such a ding would appear after two hours of surfing when there was 3-4ft waves in puaena. I was charged the full repair and felt quite frankly faced some dishonesty from the shop. In my 10 years of surfing, I've seen dings and don't think this damage could possibly be incurred on a board that was rented intact. There are plenty of places around. For tourists, prefer another place nearby. Best,
Nico really knows his stuff. I was ready to just bail because my board just wasn’t working right but he was patient and explained how to keep from flipping it over every time I paddled.
Big store. Lots of variety of surf related products. Surfboard sales and stand up paddle rental. Staff very kind. The owner is Brazilian !!
I bought a used board for 335 from them on their recommendation after explaining my ability and what I was after. The board didn’t work. Not enough volume. I took it back the next day. They said they could try selling it for 150 and they’d take 30%. I feel like I got scammed. DO NOT TRUST THEM!
I have been renting boards here for a while now kinda find shocking that they raised the prices. I understand there reasons but thats the tourists fault not the rest of the people that regularly use there services. Aloha but not really.
