We ordered the Assateague basket for the front of my electric bike. Our sweet little Penelope is a 14-pound Boston Terrier, and she fit in there perfectly, since the basket was extra-deep. The basket came with the bike bracket I ordered, already attached. I put the basket on the floor (on its' side), with treats in it, and Penelope stepped in a few times on her own to sniff around. I also practiced riding the bike with 2 gallon jugs full of water loaded in the basket (to get used to the sensation of the additional weight). It really helped. When I was ready, I clipped Penelope into the basket and just "walked" the bike for about 20 minutes. She was totally comfortable, so we took a short spin in the neighborhood. Jason and Kelly were exceptional at answering my questions in a timely manner, and helping me to navigate the use of the brackets over the bike cables. LOVE the basket, and Penelope enjoys riding along! I would highly recommend the Assateague basket! 5 stars!

I recently purchased a cruiser bike for myself and I also wanted to include my granddog on the fun. However, like everyone, her safety is paramount to me, especially since the captain of the ship is now a senior I had to make sure the basket I selected was strong and secure. When I spotted the baskets on Beach and Dog I instantly knew that it was exactly what I was looking for. The price however so reasonable that I thought it would prove too good to be true. When my basket arrived it was everything I desired and then some. It is a heavy duty basket but also there is such a style to it very pleasing to the eye. Maggie and I know how to roll and I get so many smiles and compliments and I get many kind remarks about the liner and matching pillow. There is also a lot to be said for the safety fasteners that can be purchased that attach to her harness which adds to that strong need to make the bike explorations as safe and secure as possible. Grandmaw is thrilled and Maggie rides with her ears proudly flapping through the breeze. I thank the company for the pride they clearly have in their two and four legged customers. This basket will last a lifetime and the memories attached to it will no doubt. You can't go wrong with this basket or the company who proudly sells them. It isn't often a company treats customers as if they are a part of their family once they place trust in them with the purchase of their baskets and the variety of accessories but this one has shown me so that too. It's been a win win in my book.
