Waitress friendly, but wait 55 min. for a salad and 60 min. for a pasta!!! And the restaurant wasn’t half full... and the taste of the meals: not very good. Pasta without taste... unbelievable bad!!! Never again.

Fish tacos are great, fish burger was OK nothing special. The staff was very friendly and prices are reasonable. The restaurant is on the second level; the view from the window side tables over looking Hanalei is a great place to unwind and soak up the beauty of the area while you eat.

The atmosphere and waiter were nice, but when I ordered the Mac-nut pesto pasta dish the waiter asked if I would like chicken, seafood, or vegetables on it and the menu only showed an up charge for the two meats. I chose vegetable and received 3 small pieces of asparagus and was up charged 6 for that. Then my husband ordered fish and ribs. He received two pieces of fish and two ribs for 21 dollars and his food was hardly warm. Not impressed and wouldn’t recommend

Ok spot, but way too pricey. Lunch for 4 tuned into 150 without us realizing it. Not that they hid the prices, just a few maitais in and kids getting the wagyu beef burgers... Def not worth the cost. The fish and chips were rocking, though. Staff was friendly enough. Place was clean. Not sure I'll be back, though.

Very up set after eating the crispy chicken sandwich. After eating most of it I was wondering why this chicken was chewy. The reason was that it was still raw. The server was nice and apologize, but this is unacceptable.

Walked in the door and was greeted by an upbeat Louis. He got us a great window seat and was the best waiter we've had in a long time. Enjoyed Happy Hour drinks, fish and chips and the wagyu beef burger. Best fish n chips my husband had ever had. Not too much breading and great tasting fish. Highly recommend. Burger was savory and Louis made sure it was cooked to order. Ignore any low ratings and all for Louis. A great view, great food, and great service!!!

Both regular and Japanese menus are reliably good food. Popular with locals as well as tourists. The small boy helping out is the owner's heir learning the business. Very friendly vibe. Google has obscured this in maps and hidden it from listings and foregrounded poor reviews but this place has been fine for the 25 years that we've gone. We've seen local sports teams celebrating with Japanese dinners here, recently.

This place seems to be underestimated. While they do offer some Sushi, I don't know why it's listed as Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere isn't japanese, and most of the food offered isn't either. We went here spontaneously for dinner and got a table upon arrival, luckily. Other guests, that came after us, had to wait. We ordered Fish and Chips, a Caesar's Salad and Coconut Shrimps. All of this tasted very good. It wasn't "the best we ever had" but of solid quality and for a reasonable price. The staff was extremely friendly and service was fast. They appeared a bit hectic, running around the many tables, but once they reached the tables, they were calm, relaxed and, as said above, extremely friendly. We were even offered some avocado for our baby girl, which no one else did on any other restaurant. The overall atmosphere was laid back and cozy, the other guests were mainly families, some younger couples. Upon receiving the bill I noticed a 18% Tip already added to the total sum, you want to consider this before adding more gratitude ;-)
