Wendy made our wedding day a dream come true!! If you are planning a wedding, I highly recommend 1812 Hitching Post. We also had our catering and cake done by them; everyone is still talking about how delicious everything was. I can't think of a better wedding venue, especially at the prices they offer. They offer large weddings, small weddings, and even elopements! Wendy and her team are truly amazing!

Due to COVID-19, my husband and I chose to elope at the 1812 Hitching Post in January 2021. It couldn't have been a better experience! Because our elopement package was all-inclusive, it was a stress-free event. Instead of stressing over little details, we could relax and focus on the commitment we were making to each other. Wendy was a joy to work with! She was an excellent communicator prior to the event, and she answered all of my questions quickly and professionally. She greeted us with open arms upon our arrival to the house, and she put us both at ease as we prepared to get married. We are both camera-shy, but she made the photography afterwards fun! We got so many amazing shots that capture our sheer joy on that day. Also, the property was beautiful! If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing! I highly recommend the 1812 Hitching Post for all types of weddings. You won't have a better experience anywhere else!

I attended a wedding here in December of 2020. The guests were not shown were to park and then yelled at for parking in a certain spot, the food that was catered by the venue for 20 people wasn’t even enough to feed half of the 20 guest, Wendy and her staff kept disappearing to the point everyone served their own alcohol and we ran the dj station by ourselves. Wendy was also supposed to arrange certain things for the ceremony and all of those things got switched at the last minute. We also had an incident when a bridesmaid got burned by a falling candle due to unsafe decorating done by the venue. The bride ended up regretting what she paid and questioning her entire wedding day at this venue thanks to Wendy and her not so helpful staff.

My husband and I decided to have a smaller, more intimate wedding of about 25 people and opted for a package that allowed for 20 people and around 5 hours of venue time. From the start, Wendy was diligent in her responses and presented all packages and options clearly with leaving room for customization wherever needed. She has an array of wedding packages that range from couple only elopements to weekend- long events, most of them being all-inclusive packages, and all of them being fantastically affordable! She honestly made deciding to get married here an effortless decision and was an immense joy to plan the wedding with throughout the process. She constantly kept my vision and priorities at heart when creating our unforgettable day. She got excited with me and I genuinely felt her happiness for my finace' and I. This esteemed lady and her family are the type of people who just love weddings! From the food, to the DJ to the coordination and photography; her team ensured every single part of the package was done to perfection and I worried about nothing except getting pretty and getting married. We just got our photos back almost two weeks after the wedding and they are phenomenal! :)))) If you're in the market, the venue speaks for itself on their site's photos... She has a perfect location indoor and out. The entire staff was very polite and pleasant. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day. Not to mention a better price. We are already talking about renewing vows down the road just because we had so much fun on our wedding day… that’s all thanks to Mrs. Wendy, Rev. Waldron and their team at 1812, for the best day we could have envisioned and will remember for the rest of our lives.
