We booked an axis hunt. After speaking with the owner we were told she had a large heard of axis on the property and had a great shot at a doe and a good chance of a buck. It turns out she has a very small heard of animals and they are super over hunted. The animals do not go to the feeders, the guide uses 2 different carts, one for feeding the animals and the other for hunting and the animals know the difference and which cart to stay away from. The guide himself told us that they know the feeding cart and know to run from the other. The hunting cart has a plywood seat, I am now covered in splinters. Part of the guide fee was supposed to include cleaning and skinning the animal which did not happen. Luckily we knew how to do it ourselves. We refused to sit in the stand and see nothing like the guide wanted us to do so eventually after going around the property we managed to find some of the few animals on the property. The other review Bambi rudely responded to is 100% accurate. We were lied to in the beginning, this property does not have the animals she portrays, the guide was useless. Do yourself a favor and go to a more reputable ranch with a large heard of animals. To top it all off the guide asked for gratuity when we were paying, we have no problem paying gratuity when it is deserved. Sorry Bambi but honesty goes a long way. I'm pretty sure the pictures on her website are from the ranch she says she used to manage or some other hunts she and her family have been on. This property is covered in huge rocks, just looking at the pictures it is clear they are not from the same property.
