I love taking my daughters here because there is so much for them to do in the toddler area right in the front of the museum. We haven’t made it out of there except once and my oldest kept asking to go back! It is for kiddos up to 5 and there is so much to do! They have large farm animals including a GIANT baby chick, building blocks, apples that can be “picked” from the trees and carrots and cabbage that can be “harvested.” There is also several costumes for the kids to dress us, tons of books, lots of stuffed animals, a play bedroom with a small kitchen and tunnels, a play bus with a small slide, and they also have toys that they routinely swap out so there is always something different. One of my favorite things is there is a bathroom right inside with a kid sized toilet that is perfect for potty training toddles. They do not allow food or drinks inside and are open starting at 10 am. Another great thing is that it is free for AD military and dependents so that is not only appreciated but also a plus! The perfect hot or rainy day activity. I’m sure we will be back many times!

READ IT COMPLETELY BEFORE YOU VISIT THIS PLACE!! Front Desk lady was super nice and welcoming even though we were expecting an old grumpy lady. They had lot of old historical stuff which I really don't care it's past let's move forward right? There is some information about Natives which again I don't get either since we occupied their land and killed them why do we care about them now? Every thing is about state of Pennsylvania no information about any other state cmon guys!! They also have some information about land and sea animals but I don't want them in museums I want them on my table nicely cooked though. Information about solar system and different planets and earth was useless as well. This world is ending soon why to even bother studying it. They also have a play area for kids on ground floor with lots of activities and if you have kids they would never want to get out of there. So good luck they will make you come back again and again because it's awesome! In short it was an amazing experience with a lot learning and information. THANK YOU STATE MUSEUM OF PENNSYLVANIA!!
