2 mile trail in Cedar Point is ideal for explorer/naturalist, beginner to expert. So many water animals and birds, trees, flowers, etc to explore in such a small area. A short 2 mile hike with markers for trees, at bridges , etc , it's a trail that teaches science along the way. Beautiful views of the White Oak River and always water bird sightings. A great way to spend an afternoon.
A little wet, be careful on the wood bridges as they are very slick. Trails could use some maintenance but overall great for a peaceful walk in the woods.
I had a great time... a true adventure. I I don't recommend this trail in the rain or after recent record rains unless you particularly enjoy a challenge - slippery bridges, and places that would have really benefited from bridges... a member of my group twisted his ankle and had to get rescued... Gene Huntsman came to the rescue with his shuttle service. I imagine if it's dry it would be a lot easier, but the extra challenges did a great job distracting us from the weight of our packs. Very glad to have had this experience, but not sure it would everyone's cup of tea.
Lots of fun places to go in a 4WD vehicle. There's a Great Lake there, but being from Ohio, I don't think it quite compares with any of the ones I'm used to!
