Great experience. By accident we went a day early for our flight, but they were happy to accommodate us anyway. The helicopter was a modern Bell 429 and our Norwegian pilot was friendly and pointed out all the sites. Had a great time.

Flew this morning with HeliNY on the deluxe tour. Arrived early, was cold and windy out so they kindly allowed us to wait inside. After placing our belongings in a locker and putting on life belt it was on to a quick safety briefing. Photographer takes photos before loading each passenger in their seat. The helicopter is a very nice newer model and seats 7 plus pilot. Smooth and comfortable, it is like flying in a Cadillac! Pilot was professional, courteous and knowledgeable of the area. Her flying skills were top notch in 25mph winds. We got to fly over the Statue of Liberty, Bridges, up the river with a great view of Manhattan. This is a must if you are in NYC, worth every penny!

The flight itself was amazing of course, but I didn't like the way they handled everything else around it. We had been on a flight over the Grand Canyon before, so we have something to compare it to. First, there was no real security instruction. Second, they fit 6 people into the helicopter. That means it’s really crowded in there and one person has to sit in the middle, not directly at a window. At the Grand Canyon, there were only 5 people pilot. We were a party of 3 and there was another group of 3 people. They try to distribute the weight equally when seating you in the helicopter. At the Grand Canyon, therefore, they weighed us. Here they judged only by the looks (we were all wearing thick winter clothes and looked pretty much the same). I felt like our party was disadvantaged because the other group got the seat in front, next to the pilot (the best seat) AND one of our people had to sit in the middle. I know that somebody is always the lucky one, good for them that they got the best seat, but I feel like the staff could have made up for that by also giving one of them the worst seat.

Helicopter flight services was a great experience. It is perfect organized and Service is very friendly. The flight itself was exactly the time they said on their website and we were able to take great pictures. Unfortunately only two people can sit in Front and have the very best view. But they do everything to make it an awesome experience for you
