Super fun but also difficult to paddle and control two person canoe. The trail is not too wide. Nice experience being inside the mangrooves. Unfortunately almost no animals land next to it. We barely saw some birds.

Great respite from the wind but she of the paddling trail is so skinny that it is hard to maneuver.

Great place to start your journey into Hells Bay or into Whitewater Bay. You can park and leave your car while you are on your kayak or canoe journey. There is a small dock from which to launch. The trail is marked with PVC pipes and numbers. It is on this trail where I saw my first python in the everglades. It was about 6 or 7 feet and it swam across the creek and into the mangroves ahead of my kayak.

A narrow passage way through the Everglades The weather was great and very interesting place

Trail is wildly marshy and unmaintained, but the short stretch of road is a nice half hour walk there and back. The trail isn't maintained due to a endangered species in the way

Great conoe trail. You really feel like you are in the mangrove. It is a little narrow with tight turns at first but it soon opens up and gets wider. The trail is pretty well marked with PVC poles. Many / some of the poles have numbers on them. Download the map that includes the numbers on the PVC marker poles so you have some idea of how far you have gone.
