Very large RV park with gravel pads and roomy sites. Close to the highway, but not noisy. Full timers were clean and organized. Cute cabins. Grassy tent sites. Great WIFI. Breakfast was inexpensive and good.

The park has all the amenities you need for a pleasant short or long stay. We stayed from Wed-Mon. They are very organized. Upon checking in, a CG worker will guide you to your spot and answer any additional questions you might have. The office provides a very clear printed CG map with all the necessary information, i.e. Wifi, cable, check in and out times and especially the times for especial activities throughout the week. Heartland is well named. They have breakfast every morning and evening snacks or some type of activity. The ladies were pleasant and provided crucial information on the many tourist or places of interest to visit. The spaces are ample enough for big rigs, tow dolly and dinghy. There are fire rings and tables at each site. The CG is well kept and I did not see any type of debris floating around. The individuals that cruise around are helpful in case you need any further info. or things for your rig. The days we were there, There was plenty of WIND and rain. The wind was extremely strong on a couple of days. One in particular, I decided to pull in the slide impacted by the high winds and avoid getting the topper ripped. Sure enough, as my wife and I drove around the CG. There were at least 3 Class A that the owners had left and forgot to pull in the slides. They had their toppers and a couple of window awnings ripped off from the high winds. It is better to be safe than sorry. We just wished they had more large trees. However, it is out of their control. Our stay was very pleasant and will definitely come back!

Very clean campground. Nice showers. Great activities. Very willing to accommodate special requests. Nice play area for kids and dogs. We were able to have fires. Our site was close to the highway so we had a lot of road noise. It didn’t bother the rest of the family I’m just a light sleeper. Would stay again.

We setup basecamp here while we explored Custer State Park and resupplied in Rapid City. We bought a weekly rate at a substantial discount over the daily rate. We enjoyed clean, modern showers, restroom and the helpful, friendly staff. Would stay again.

We were there to "check out" the place. Left camper home and rented a cabin for the duration of our stay. Reading other reviews, they are spot on. The staff is wonderful and so helpful. Loved the wine tasting and the Friday night chicken wings! Bathrooms are extremely clean and although we didn't need the laundry, they looked spotless as well. Breakfasts were wonderful and reasonably priced. Although we were only there for 3 nights, we look forward to staying there again next year! Thank you Alan and your wonderful staff for making us feel like "family"!

Met lots of nice people. It got pretty windy while we were there. The facilities were well kept. They serve breakfast in the morning till 10:30. It was good, 7 bucks a plate. The staff was great too....thanks

The park was clean, the facilities (laundry room, didn't use the showers) was stocked and appliances in good working condition. I would suggest bringing quarters. The office gladly supplies them but closes at 6 p.m. so if you get back from sightseeing late then you'll have to run up to one of the convenience stores (they told me they're only supposed to supply enough for one wash and one dry). It takes 2 for each wash and 1.50 for each dryer. Also, detergent, bleach and dryer sheets are available from vending machine at 2 per load for detergent...I suggest bringing your own. The ladies in the office are very kind and helpful as well as friendly. There's a gentleman who will guide you in with a golf cart....he offered assistance if we needed it. All hook-ups were in good condition and water pressure was good. Highway was a little noisy but not too bad. Would definitely go back.
