My husband and I have used Dyer & Associates for tax preparation for the last three tax years. We are very happy with the level of personal care and attention paid to our tax situation. In particular, the detailed explanation Jason provided to us a couple of years regarding how we would be impacted by the 2018 tax reforms was extremely helpful. Also, Jason makes it very easy to provide our documentation and later receive the returns to be filed, which is a major time saver for us. We will continue to use Dyer & Associates in the coming years.

I used Dyer & Associates last year and decided to go with them again this year. When I reviewed the return that he prepared this year, there was an expense entry on the Schedule C he prepared for me that appeared fabricated. It has since been determined that he simply misread the information I provided. However, when I first brought the apparent fraudulent entry to Mr. Dyer’s attention and told him that I didn’t have confidence in him or the return he had prepared due to this primary issue and several other minor mistakes, I stated that I would file my taxes another way. He then accused me of attempting to steal his work and assumed that I was going to file the return he prepared without paying him for it. As I told him then and numerous times since then, I had and still have absolutely no intentions of doing any such thing. I’m an honest person (which is why I terminated my relationship with Mr. Dyer since it appeared he was adjusting the numbers to get me a better refund), and don’t take kindly to people attacking my character. I’ve decided to file my taxes via TurboTax but will not be using the return Mr. Dyer prepared in any way, shape, or form. I chose Dyer & Associates primarily because of the many apparently pleased customers who have left 5-star reviews. I believe they are a legitimate firm and I’m sure they have many pleased clients. But from my personal experience in my dealings with them that I’ve listed here in this review, I personally cannot recommend their work and will not be using any of their services in the future.
