Based on the results of the study, Highland is now focusing on putting in place a comprehensive financing package to fund construction. In addition to what is viewed as Michigan's next copper mine, the company also holds approximately 1,800km² of exploration ground, in the form of 100% owned mineral title, across the central Upper Peninsula. Surrounding the producing Eagle Mine and covering the US-extension of Canada's Wawa-Abitibi sub-province, this ground is seen to have potential for future Ni-Cu, Au, and potentially other base metal discoveries.
